Shoppers swarmed the PW rummage sale on Saturday, March 7.

The Presbyterian Women rummage sale had resounding good results.

A great group of church members enjoyed laughter along with their labor as they sorted through the sacks and enjoyed camaraderie as they conversed. 

Many thanks go to those who helped on Wednesday morning as members brought their contributions to the church:  Ron Broetzmann, Earl Fox, Jim Hiss, Ernie Melton, Pastor Scott Solther, Phil Woodmansee, Debbie Jones, Carolann Morrison, and Nancy Williams.

On Thursday and Friday, the long days were filled with sorting and sharing stories and snacking on delicious pastries provided by JoAnn Hiss and Earl Fox.  A congenial group of women helped: Phyllis Bosley, Ruth Brown, Helen Curran, Judy Fox, Debbie Jones, Marge Kite, Mary LeRoy, Kay Melton, Carolann Morrison, Irene Pommerenke, Marge Shauers, Tammy Solether, Nancy Swafford, Nancy Williams and Marissa Woodmansee.

Saturday started with a swarm of shoppers and the first hour rush resulted in much of the merchandise in the hands of people in our community who appreciated the opportunity to find a bargain in these stressful economic times -- our goal for this sale! In addition to those previously mentioned, those helping on sale day include: Jody Eller, Becky Hill, Mary King, Ernie Melton, Doris Meyeres, Carol Murphy, and Josh Murphy. A wonderful lunch was provided for eighteen workers by Mabel Hiss and Dorothy Schuetz.

Our custodians, David and Kory Suppes, made the whole event possible with their setting up and helping in a multitude of ways. We especially appreciate David's help on Saturday. Howard Bosley helped with the Salvation Army pick-up on Monday.

The sale is a lot of work for not a lot of monetary reward, but great satisfaction comes from providing a service to our community and adding to the funds which will be used to support a wide variety of mission programs.
