Presbyterian Women
Hold Spring Banquet

For the program at the recent spring banquet of Presbyterian Women, the Biblical Ruth was brought to life with a characterization of her by Lu Adams of Ellsworth.

Much research goes into Lu's portrayals, and the culture in which Ruth lived was vividly woven into her presentation.

Sixty-eight members and their guests enjoyed a delicious meal catered by Baked Blessings. Special guests were the ladies of the First Congregational United Church of Christ.

The tables were beautifully decorated with geraniums and spring butterflies. A geranium basket was given as a door prize.

A member of the UCC church shared her inspiration for a project (called Women Helping Women) in which personal feminine hygiene products are provided to the combined locations of services of the Food Bank and the Emergency Aid Council.

Twelve women's organizations in the community are participating in this project including the Presbyterian Women.
